Swarthmore College

2018 to 2021

Bachelor's of Science, Engineering | Philosophy Minor

Activities and Societies: Rugby (Captain) Peaslee Debate Society (V.P. of Communications)

Mixed specialization in mechanical engineering and robotics Selected coursework: •Mobile robotics • Algorithmic Design of Structures •Embedded systems •Mechanic dynamics •Data structures and algorithms •Mechanics of solids An interdisciplinary program that seeks to graduate students with a broad, rigorous education, emphasizing strong analysis and synthesis skills while providing a unique perspective that integrates technical and nontechnical factors in the design of solutions to multifaceted problems.

Kalamazoo College

2017 to 2018

Activities and Societies: Cross Country (D3)

Studied Biology before transferring to pursue engineering A liberal arts school in Western Michigan boasting a highly personalized and experiential approach to education

Experience

RightHand Robotics  righthandrobotics.com

Apr 2022 to Oct 2022

Robotics Software Engineer Somerville, MA

• Worked to maintain and expand the smart piece-picking software platform: creating software interfaces to integrate the product with collaborative and industrial third-party robotic arms, debugging challenging trajectory and path-planning problems, and creating custom Python and bash tooling. • Took initiative to improve testing protocol by automating our UI review process with Selenium and JavaScript, reducing test time by a factor of ten. • Developed a monitoring tool which leveraged publisher-subscriber protocol to log specific picking events and enable better diagnostic analysis. • Ported robot arm driver code from Python 2 to Python 3, discovered and resolved an existing bug.

Swarthmore College | Engineering Workshop

2019 to 2021

Machine Shop Assistant Swarthmore, PA

Leveraged shop expertise to assist students in using precision tools and maintaining a clean and safe workplace. Honed my rapid fabrication and prototyping skills during off-peak idle time. (CNC machining, 3D printing, lathe, drill press, welding, etc.)

Swarthmore College

Sep 2019 to Dec 2020

"Wizard" Engineering TA Swarthmore, PA

Instructed and supported students during weekly help sessions; material ranged from mechanical problem sets to debugging Arduino C code. Promoted the creation of an inclusive engineering community by encouraging a collaborative and jovial work environment and forming genuine connections.

IRIS Moon Rover - Carnegie Mellon

Jun 2020 to Aug 2020

Teleoperations Sub-Team Member Remote

Collaborated with a multi-tiered project team, performing rigorous tests of Visual SLAM packages to determine the feasibility of various localization solutions for this cube rover mission.

Space Physics Research Lab (SPRL) - University of Michigan

Jun 2019 to Aug 2019

Science Writer/Web Designer Ann Arbor, MI

Crafted a modern, easily navigable website and translated dense scientific papers into concise articles that illuminated the department's cutting-edge research in the service of promoting interdepartmental collaboration. Learned to navigate differing department standards and protocols.

Clean Water Action

May 2018 to Aug 2018

Canvasser for Environmental Policy Ann Arbor, MI

Engaged the community by presenting complicated issues clearly and concisely to raise support for environmental laws in Michigan.

AuPair World

Dec 2016 to Jul 2017

AuPair (Nanny and English Tutor) Nantes, France

Took a gap year to improve my French fluency and gain an immersive understanding of French culture. Worked as an Au Pair (live-in Nanny) in France, responsible for English tutoring and coordinating the Blanchard children’s (twin boys aged 6, and a 12-year-old girl) schedules.

Publications

• A Novel Screen and Identification of Potential Bioluminescence Regulatory Mutants in Photorhabdus Luminescens TT01.

Presented at the 7th Conference on Beneficial Microbes. University of Wisconsin-Madison, Madison, WI.
